Arizona Senator John McCain today announced he is endorsing Ben Quayle, Republican candidate for Arizona’s 3rd Congressional District.

“Ben Quayle has the kind of fighting spirit we need now more than ever in Washington,” said Senator John McCain. “He has the passion and the principles to make a great Congressman and I’m confident he will do what’s right for Arizona.”

“I am honored and humbled to have the support of Senator McCain, who has dedicated his life to public service and to the people of Arizona,” said Quayle. “His courage in the Vietnam War and his tenacity in Washington have long been an inspiration to millions of Americans, including me, and I’m grateful for his vote of confidence,” he added.

Ben Quayle and Senator McCain along with Janet Contreras, Congressional candidate in Arizona’s 4th district, will participate in a North Phoenix Town Hall tonight.

Senator John McCain has a long-standing and noble career of leadership and experience in public service. He was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in Arizona in 1982. He was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1986 after serving two terms in the U.S. House. Senator McCain currently serves on the following committees: Ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee; Committee on Energy and Natural Resources; Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions; Committee on Homeland Security and Committee on Indian Affairs. McCain was the Republican nominee for president in 2008.
